Betsy Merck Betsy
Merck is principal of her own consulting business
focused on organizational effectiveness and executive
coaching to leverage leadership for improved organizational
performance. She works with small to large organizations
where leaders are engaged in strategic change initiatives
and are interested in improving their performance and
/or that of their team and organization.
Betsy has over twenty years of experience in coaching,
organizational and leadership development - from private
and public sector organizations. She has worked in leadership
capacities with both the Hewlett- Packard Company and
Levi Strauss & Co. Having lived and worked internationally,
she is experienced with different cultures and global
business issues. She has worked with clients in Europe,
South America and Asia.
A graduate of the University of Oregon with a Masters
Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations, she is certified
as a professional coach with New Ventures West. She is
also certified with the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
She is a member of the Organization Development Network
and the STS Roundtable, a professional organization focused
on organizational effectiveness guided by principles of
participatory democracy. Betsy Merck was a commissioner
on the Santa Clara County, Ca. Commission on the Status
of Women in the early 1980’s and is trained as a
conflict mediator for the City of Oakland, Ca.
