Sue Thompson Sue
Thompson is a management consultant and executive
coach who helps leaders improve their individual and organization’s
effectiveness. She is highly skilled in team building,
organization survey processes and meeting facilitation.
Sue has over 30 years of experience in coaching, organization
and leadership development. She has worked in leadership
capacities at Pan American World Airways and Levi Strauss
& CO. She has lived and worked in Europe and has extensive
experience with different cultures and global business
issues.
Sue was with Levi Strauss & Company for 21 years
serving as the Director, Human Resource Development. She
helped LS&CO’s executive management team articulate
the company’s values and integrate those values
into all aspects of the company’s business operations.
During this time, Fortune magazine recognized LS&CO.
as one of the 10 most admired companies in America.
Sue started her management consulting practice in 1997.
The focus of her work is coaching leaders to ensure the
effective operation of their organizations. She values
high involvement in problem solving and believes the key
to effectiveness is making sure management teams are working
together effectively on the high leverage problems.
A graduate of Arizona State University, Sue has a Masters
Degree in Organization Behavior. She is a graduate of
the Advanced Program in Organization Development from
Columbia University and is a certified Executive Coach
through The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara. Sue Thompson
has been adjunct faculty for the MBA/MSOD programs at
Golden Gate University, Holy Names College and The University
of San Francisco, teaching Organization Behavior and Global
Management.
